Dubbed “The Don of All OGs,” this strain has quite a name to live up to. A popular medical strain in Southern California, Godfather OG, like many other OG strains, is often recommended for insomnia and pain due to its sedative indica properties. The Don is a result of crossing XXX OG and Alpha OG, and there is a kushy spiciness in its scent coupled with some subtle grape notes. Godfather OG is powerful; with THC levels that have been measured as high as 28%, this strain is an offer you can’t refuse. Godather OG won 1st Place for Best Indica at the 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup in Los Angeles.

The parent strains of Godfather OG is a cross between the indica Bubba Kush, indica L.A. Confidential, and indica Granddaddy Purps.

This strain isn’t recommended for beginners because of its sedative qualities – its high is known to place the consumer into deep relaxation quickly and hitting hard. This shit was very strong, almost too strong. It really is a powerful medication, great for pain, tension and insomnia. I can’t believe how strong this was. It was instant too, it didn’t creep. One moment I’m awake and alert w/ racing thoughts, the next minute I’m in a euphoric haze off to lala land. Very powerful, definitely not for daytime use.

Love this shit! Hits me quick on the static’s side making me aware and focused but then let’s loose a little and makes me talkative and highly. Definitely an anytime strain that packs a high THC punch! Believe me, if it sucked it wouldn’t be a parent strain to many award winning buds.

I have grown this strain twice now. both times from Fast buds and I have to admit what an absolute awesome strain. some of the best tasting herb I have ever had the privilege to taste. like a full bodied coffee with extra cream. the effects are very long lasting 👍👌
